Ch. Clarkcreeks Mystery Flight

Cerf and Cardiac clear, OFA Fair, Elbows Normal at 24 months

Runty Amelia..... Now why on earth would anyone in their right mind name a beautiful pup like this RUNTY? Well, this pup was the tiniest one in her litter of nine and we felt she needed extra TLC from day one. Our daughter Chauncey took it upon herself to spend every waking minute making sure she nursed, ate, slept, didn't get smushed or beat up by her siblings. Naturally, we all asked about 10 times a day, "how is the runt? or how is little runty doing?" Sure enough, by the time she was 3-4 weeks of age little Runt knew whenever someone said the word RUNT they were talking about her! We all figured this out one day when she stopped eating to come over to the side of her pen when our daughter said, "Runty is getting so big now." Runty had learned her name and decided Chauncey was her best bud so the two have been inseparable ever since! We had big plans for her call name to be, Amelia--keeping in line with the theme of the litter. Ha! Runty had other plans and has allowed us to call her Runty Amelia, probably just to humor us...

Runty surprised all of us when she took her first points by going Best of Breed over seven specials the third time she was shown in Open bitch. This was at the New Castle Cluster of shows in May of 2001. She then took a couple more WB/BOW/BOS awards that summer and 3 or 4 major reserve awards. Runty's 2002 show career started off on the right "paw" as well. She was only shown a few times in early May/June/July 2002 and then went into mini-retirement as her half-sister Isabella decided to take center stage and obtain all the points she needed to become a CH between June-Nov of 2002. Poor Runty took a backseat and was pulled from most shows when we felt Isabella had a shot at winning. Runty did manage to finish her Championship in style though in early 2003. At the Louisville, Kentucky shows on March 14 and 16 she went Winners Bitch/Best of Winners/Best of Opposite Sex from the Bred by Exhibitor class for two 4 point majors! She was entirely owner/breeder/handled to her title. (Her New Champion photo is shown below)

Runty Amelia was bred to Trevor. Ch Pacificgold's Bavarian Cobbler and gave us a lovely litter of nine puppies in early 2004.
Due to complications with the delivery she had to be spayed and can no longer be bred. You can see her daughter Hope at the link below. Hope is co-owned with Laura Sicko and lives at Laura's house. We can't thank Laura enough for taking on the responsibility of raising and socializing Hope when we had Hugo and Isadora to deal with!
