Hytree Winter Storm Warning is aptly named because, as a friend pointed
out, we define damage to property in and around our house in one
of two ways: "Winter ate that or Winter did
that!" She doesn't like to be left alone or ignored --
ever! In spite of her tempestuous nature, however, Winter
is one of our favorite dogs of all-time. Why? Because she is
thinking every second of every minute of every hour of every day.
And what is she thinking? How can I be with my people? Why are
they in the family room and I am in the kitchen? Maybe if I
take this piece of clothing out of the laundry basket upstairs
and run like crazy through the house, they will take me with them
wherever they go. She is just about the most beautiful,
expressive Golden we can imagine. A very, very special
girl.
Winter became an Outstanding Dam in the GRCA on Oct 22, 2004. When her daughter Ch Clarkcreeks Legend of the Fall finished her AKC Championship. Winter was spayed in December 2002 at the age of 5. She had given us everything we had hoped for and more and had earned her retired status ten times over. We are hoping one or more of her daughters can carry on in her footsteps and become and OD as well!
